A Poll, L.I.F.E. Tips and Future Story Mini-Preview
Hope everyone is enjoying the L.I.F.E. update. There hasn’t been much feedback, so I’ve created a poll to get feel for whether people would like to see more from this area, or return to the normal updates:
Note: Voting does not guarantee that the outcome you want will happen, but it may influence the decision. In addition. the level of effort that went into L.I.F.E. is not sustainable and should not be expected to continue with regular updates.
L.I.F.E. Tips!
Here are the goals Maika gave you and some possible suggestions on how to approach them:
- Replace Whitney with Maika: This one’s easy. Just add Maika to your roster and you’re done.
- Crown a New League Champ: Buy a Tournament, change it from Exhibition to League Championship and get a result where anyone except Tonya wins. Note that there is a bug where you have to go back to the tournament page at the end to view the Final standings before the winner will get recognized as league champ.
- Make the League Profitable: I believe you need $1000 cash in the game or more to get this goal. There’s lots of ways to do it (ie: working, league revenue, betting, cards, etc) but I think the easiest way is to bet an item and after you win it, sell it back to the person you won it from (to bet items you need to keep betting against the same person until the option appears on the 3rd try). I wonder if we have any millionaires yet? 🙂
- Bonus – Coach Maika to a Winning record: As long as Maika has a winning record with at least 3 matches and you are her Coach, you should get this goal.
If you’re stuck with any of these, remember to use the Save button to your advantage, the same way you would with any game. If you want to cheat, just only save the matches where you won the bet or where Maika won. Play it however you want.
Check the Goals page Maika made for you on the bottom right of League Management to confirm what you’ve accomplished.
Finishing the first 3 goals will make the special message appear when you’re in the Living Room or some other location outside League Management, where you can talk to Mara and reveal what you’ve been up to and let you add her to the league, along with the others. Finishing the 4th/bonus goal for Maika will give a similar prompt where you chat with Maika about joining the league yourself and it lets you wrestle in matches.
There are some characters in recruitment that will never join (ie: Samar, Ingrid, Astrid).. or at least not for now. The idea was to make Recruitment like a mini-game, so there needed to be some cases where your recruitment attempts simply fail and there’s nothing you can do about it. If there’s a character you’re dying to see in the system, feel free to request it and it will be kept in mind if possible in the future.
I can do a section on tips for winning/losing matches as well, if people request it. However, it’s intentionally designed so there’s no guarantees.
Next Update…
As usual, no promises on what the next update will be. The L.I.F.E. update is a good example of where I didn’t expect to crack the code on the match system so I couldn’t have predicted when that update would ever come along (if ever).
Things may change, but right now the next update might be one where Rochelle wants to have a rematch with Shay that isn’t so kinky/fantasy based. They wear workout clothes and come to you to setup something more like a league match. The idea being that Rochelle thinks Shay is mixing a sexual fantasy too much with reality based wrestling; and wants to prove it in a one-off match.
As of now, I haven’t done anything to add Shay to the league/LIFE (or Tay), but this is a possibility, again, depending on time and demand. There is a plan to make this story both available via the Stories section and via a L.I.F.E. event.
