New Update – Overview

The new update has been posted to the Stories section. It’s titled L.I.F.E. – Secrets. 

If you want go in blind and experience the journey for yourself, stop reading here.

Quick side recommendation to enter your first name accurately at the beginning. It’s not tracked and stays locally (private) on your machine and adds a lot more immersion as it’s used throughout the story later. Second side note that the ‘Save’ button will be your friend.

L.I.F.E. is the nickname for a new system created to support this update. It stands for Literary Interactive First-Person Experience.

The crux of whether you’ll like this update probably depends on whether you like the match system. You get to watch dynamically created matches anytime you want with anyone on the roster you want. There aren’t as many images per match, but the trade-off is near limitless amount of full matches that you can arrange. 

Personally, I love it, but of course you should decide for yourselves. 

You can participate in matches, but it’s intentionally awarded only as a bonus option, since it was not designed to be the primary focus of this update. 

Fun fact: over 8,000 images were rendered and uploaded in order to support this system.

Here’s the feature breakdown:

Create Your Own League:
1. Build Your Roster!
– recruit up to 12 unlockable characters

2. Host Matches
– Watch an endless possiblitiy of matches, with images
– Setup ANY match-up you want (Mixed or FvF)
– Choose an optional losing stipulation (Facesitting, Foot worship, Leg worship, Muscle worship)
– Choose a Single or Multi-Round match
– Bet on matches using your characters cash or inventory items
– escalate bets against repeat betting rivals with increasing in-game cash values or items your character owns
– Sell or Buy back items from characters you’ve bet against
– Start and settle rivlaries between characters
– Start your own betting rivalries

3. Manage Your League
– Coach players to success (or failure)
– risk being fired (or drop your client before they can!)
– Track Wins/Losses and View Rankings
– Setup Tournaments
  – Exhibition or League Championship tournaments
– run as many Seasons as you want!
– Send Maika to watch matches for you in your absence and report results back

4. Help Your Friends!
– Earn Maika’s friendship by Coaching her to a winning record
– Rebuild trust in the league by Working (or not working) to pay and recruit memebers
– Restore a new and improved league to win back your girlfriend’s competitive spirit

5. Unlock Rewards
– Complete goals to unlock Mara and add her to the league
– Coach Maika to success to earn the right to add YOURSELF to the league
– Wrestle anyone in the league! (in 3rd person view) 
  – choose your characters stats in 7 categories (Power, Speed, Endurance, etc)

6. Live!
– Day/Night cycle
– Complete tasks to earn in-game money (or lose cash via gambling)
– Watch TV, play cards, visit friends

The Future…

In theory, this could be the last update. Any event that happens later could just be pushed into this system on the same URL — ie: you wake up, go to work and suddenly on Thursday, Judy is asking you handle an office conflict and you need to setup a match to do it. Or maybe one day Rochelle wants you to host a match between her and Shay to help get her out of her current predicament. Who knows. Stories posted the normal way will probably still happen, but this is just some of the potential available.

There are also lots of side things that didn’t make it in that could be added later. A boxing mini-game against Mara, for example. The system has also been constructed in a way that it’s very do-able to add more characters to the roster. 

Hopefully you’ll develop your own stories within the existing system. Maybe you lose a bet to a character and you decide to coach someone and buff them up to beat that character. Maybe the character you coached loses or fires you and then you develop a rivalry with them. Maybe you end up beating them and forcing them to have to buy back their car, or their phone… or maybe they do it to you 🙂

Anyways, this update is the culmination of many ideas over the years and a lot of work went into it. Hope everyone has fun with it.
