Arnold vs Mara

MaraIt took some convincing, but we've finally got Arnold into the Squeeze League. His first opponent? Mara. Perhaps it's a little cruel of us to start him off against the #2 ranked wrestler in the league, but let's just say we felt Mara would have the right "temperament" to show Arnold that the league can be fun. It'll be a multi-round match, so we expect a tough one. Just so that we're not throwing Arnold right into the fire, we have agreed for there not to be any cameras and no penalty round. Good luck to Arnold in his first match back on the wrestling scene!

Mara beats Arnold in a tough match for our league newcomer.
Arnold came in determined to apply the wrestling lessons he’s learned from outside the league, but he came away with new lessons taught to him by Mara.
Arnold hadn’t seen Mara since the old event tournament, so he hadn’t come prepared to face the newer, stronger, tougher version of her. She’s been in the gym a lot, and it showed several times when she was able to overpower him with her lower body. A sudden bodyscissor submission should have been enough to warn him that he had to step his game up, but it wasn’t.
Mara tormented Arnold with scissor holds until he finally was put to bed in a reverse figure-4 headscissor.
With this victory, Mara inches a step closer to Christina’s #1 spot. Arnold on the other hand will have to look at facing much lower ranked opponents next time, as he’s clearly not ready for upper echelons yet.
