Arnold vs Kara

A lot of opponents underestimate Kara. Not Arnold. He came into this match, taking her deadly serious.

Arnold’s strategy was interesting. He treated the match almost like a pins match, despite the rules making impossible to earn points from pins. Arnold was careful to avoid Kara’s speedy legs and kept his weight on her for as long as possible.

Time after time, Kara found herself held down to the mat by Arnold. Whether he was seated astride or lying across in a cross-body pin, Arnold kept her down, using his size advantage.

Eventually, Kara become frustrated.

“Get the fuck OFFFFF!”, she shouted at one point. 

It’s very rare to hear Kara raise her voice like that, even during an intense match. As the match went on, both of them were tired and sweaty, but it was clear that Arnold strategy was working.

Kara was expending most of the energy trying to get out, while Arnold was able to conserve much of his energy by using his weight to stay on top. Once it was clear that Arnold had her tired out, he abandoned his pin strategy and started going for holds.

This is where Kara normally excels; a slower male opponent being a step too slow to go for a hold and getting caught in one of hers instead. This time it was Kara who was a step too slow.

Arnold was able to use his energy advantage to convert from a pin into a triangle.

Kara was furious.

She was also just as stubborn has her own opponents tend to be. After refusing to tap out, the Knockout Queen wound up KO’d herself in Arnold’s triangle.

We’re sure that Kara will want a rematch, but she’ll just have to wait. Arnold earned a well deserved victory here against her and was clearly the superior on this today.
