The Post-Season
The League continues to evolve as we look to crown a formal winner to the 1st Season! Check out the Free Prologue and Part 1 of Round 1 in Stories.
You can imagine that perhaps some of the wrestlers on the roster were not happy with how Mara “resolved” the issue of Terri and Christina being so far ahead of everyone. This really only fixed the issue for a couple people, and left others still far behind in the ranking.
And what purpose is a season that has no winner?
The current tournament seeks to address these concerns. It awards good performance in the regular season by being matched against a lower ranked opponent. It puts the spotlight on important matches and allows the winners to rise to the occasion.
Concluding a “season” was not seen as important when the league started; however, things have started to feel a bit stale.
Some of the wrestlers that fell into the bottom feel a bit stuck there. Same for the top and the middle in some cases. Everyone feels a bit stuck and pegged into a set rank.
It’s time to start fresh again.
Finishing a season gives everyone a fresh chance in a new season.
A new season allows could allow for an updated roster. The competition could look different. Some of the old faces might be out, with some new faces brought in. Maybe there could even be roster try-out matches? Personally, I think Deloris had such a poor first season that she should have to wrestle to earn her way back in, if she is to be allowed back at all.
These are just some of the ideas that could factor into a new season.
One final note about the current tournament: The updates are about normal sized. Some of them might be single or multiple matches, depending on how long the match went. Some will just be highlights. Expect a typical update size in general.
