KaraKara was happy to deny her boyfriend's request for a rematch after seeing him lose to a comparable opponent in Elina. What she wasn't happy about was the comparison between her and Elina. Since she wasn't so thrilled with our description, we're letting each woman provide their own quotes about this match before it happens: Kara says: "Before his match everyone talked like I'm some second rate version of Elina. Even after his match, Kevin thinks I wouldn't be able to beat her either. I can't wait to prove you all wrong!". Elina tells us: "Couldn't care less about comparisons. She'll lose. Then her and Kevin will have even more in common."
Recap
As we mentioned, Kara didn’t take too kindly to being looked at as a second rate version of Elina (or so she perceived the comparison). Kara was also no longer the only one in the league to have beaten her boyfriend Kevin and she had a clear target to blame for it: Elina.
Elina on the other hand could care less. She was clearly unfazed.
The calm and collected Elina was set to take on an angered Kara… and apparently she wasn’t ready for it.
Elina fought off aggressive attacks from Kara, over and over again. Every time Elina got close to a match-ending hold, Kara narrowly countered or escaped before she could get set. Both women grew tired, but Kara’s intensity remained consistent throughout.
Eventually Kara’s intensity overwhelmed Elina and she was able to capture her in a figure-4 headscissor. With Elina already exhausted from fending off Kara the whole match, it was fairly easy for Kara to put her to sleep with her effective legs.
Kara scores a big victory over (formerly) 3rd ranked Elina!
